The Chapman Panthers entered their tilt with the Carolina Academy Trojans with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Chapman secured a 53-47 W over Carolina Academy on Wednesday. This was payback for Chapman, who suffered a 69-54 loss the last time these two teams met.
Chapman was led to victory by Rashawn Cunningham and Grayden Humphries. Cunningham dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Humphries scored 20 points. That's the first time this season that Humphries scored 15 or more points. Josiah Moore was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Chapman's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Carolina Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Coincidentally, Chapman and Carolina Academy will both be playing Travelers Rest the next time they take the court. Carolina Academy will host Travelers Rest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Chapman will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
