The Cumberland Colts will challenge the Overbrook Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Cumberland is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Wednesday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Triton.
Cumberland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maci Kwap, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Alyssa Pierce was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Overbrook made easy work of Haddonfield on Wednesday and carried off a 17-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Angelina Campbell was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Overbrook got a massive performance out of Alaina Dufresne, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Dufresne has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Simon, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Overbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Haddonfield only posted an OBP of .235.
Cumberland's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Overbrook, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.
Cumberland came out on top in a nail-biter against Overbrook in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 10-8. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
