Corydon Central is a perfect 9-0 against Eastern since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will square off against the Musketeers at 5:30 p.m. Corydon Central will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Corydon Central made easy work of Jeffersonville and carried off a 16-2 win. Considering the Panthers have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Corydon Central got a great performance from Madison Garretson as she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Garretson has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Corydon Central let Addyson Branham and Rease Jones run wild. Branham went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Jones went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Jones has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kynlee Mader, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Corydon Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eastern, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Springs Valley on Monday. The Musketeers haven't had any issues with the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Bracie Jackson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Jackson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Alyssa Calloway was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Corydon Central's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern, their record now sits at 4-6.
Eastern's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Corydon Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .362. It's a different story for Eastern, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Corydon Central's hitters?
Corydon Central took their victory against Eastern when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
