Canyon is 0-10 against the Thunderbirds since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Canyon Cougars will be playing at home against the Wagner Thunderbirds at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Canyon didn't have too much trouble with the Matadors on the road as they won 52-33.
Meanwhile, Wagner can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They breezed by Tivy at home to the tune of 71-43. Wagner is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
Wagner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aniya Bigley led the charge by going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 1 assist. Another player making a difference was La Sneed, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Wagner, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.
