Northside came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Veterans Warhawks by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Warhawks two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

While Northside won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24.

Northside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mckenzie Durbin out in front who had 14 digs. That's the most digs Durbin has posted over her last six matchups. Another player making a difference was Lacie Watts, who had 22 assists and three blocks.

Northside's record now sits at 8-12. As for Veterans, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-5.

Coincidentally, Northside and Veterans will both be playing St. Anne-Pacelli the next time they take the court. The Warhawks will head out to face the Vikings at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 7:15 p.m.
