The Piedmont Community Charter Patriots stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Sugar Creek 83-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Piedmont Community Charter has posted since November 30, 2023.
Bobby Erwin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with eight assists and two steals. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Plessmoses, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terry Watson, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Aidan Gatewood, who scored ten points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Piedmont Community Charter's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. As for Sugar Creek, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
Piedmont Community Charter will head out on the road to square off against Valor Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Valor Preparatory Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups. As for Sugar Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Queen's Grant at 7:00 p.m. Queen's Grant has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three matches.
