Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dan River). Everything went their way against the Bassett Bengals on Wednesday as the Dan River Wildcats made off with an 81-58 win. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

It was another big night for Jameer Reynolds, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. He has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Davis, who went 8 for 17 en route to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Dan River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

Bassett's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Perkins, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Alex Redd, who had 12 points.

Dan River pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Bassett, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Dan River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-45 victory against Appomattox County on the 24th. As for Bassett, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-57 loss against George Washington on the 24th.
