The Minto Lakers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Walter Northway Warriors at 10:00 a.m. Minto will be strutting in after a win while the Warriors will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Minto was able to grind out a solid win over the , taking the game 32-25. The victory was just what Minto needed coming off of a 45-24 defeat in their prior matchup.
Minto found their leader in underclassman Ruth Fox, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jena Smith, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Walter Northway's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their third straight defeat. They fell to Susitna Valley 44-40.
Minto is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Walter Northway, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
