The Wood County Christian Wildcat were the 41-22 winner over the Paden City Wildcats when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Wood County Christian took a 37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Friday. Wood County Christian just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Paden City found their leader in underclassman Ashton Wade, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Wade has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times she's played.
Wood County Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Paden City, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wood County Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Calvary Baptist Academy is ranked 100th, while the Wildcat are ranked 122nd). As for Paden City, they will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
