The Saint Jo Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Bellevue Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Saint Jo will be strutting in after a win while Bellevue will be coming in after a loss.
Saint Jo took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Bryson by a score of 7-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Sam Martin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Saint Jo let Lee Yeley and Trent Gaston run wild. Yeley got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Gaston went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Gaston has become a key player for Saint Jo: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5-1 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Perrin-Whitt, falling 17-7.
River Trail and Ryan Jones stepped up to the plate in a big way. Trail went 2-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and one run, while Jones went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those RBI were Trail's first of the season.
Saint Jo's record is now 3-6-1. As for Bellevue, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Saint Jo has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bellevue struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Saint Jo skirted past Bellevue 8-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
