The Newton Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Clarkdale, posting a 91-63 victory on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Newton who now have eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Clarkdale still got an impressive performance from Connor Mcdill, who scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcdill has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Culpepper, who scored five points along with six steals and five assists.
Newton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Clarkdale, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Newton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clarkdale also has no future games currently scheduled.
