Liberty has gone 6-1 against Pleasant Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Liberty will be playing at home against Pleasant Valley at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Liberty's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Whitehall with a sharp 13-0 win. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Zephyrs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Not much got past Liam Fitzpatrick, who gave up just two hits to keep Whitehall off the board.

On the hitting side, Dylan Metzgar was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Jaxon Horvath was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Liberty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitehall only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pleasant Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past William Allen 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since April 10, 2024.
London Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, Pleasant Valley's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob George, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Liberty pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Pleasant Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Everything went Liberty's way against Pleasant Valley in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Liberty made off with a 13-2 victory. Does Liberty have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pleasant Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
