In what's become a running theme this season, the Biggs Wolverines gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They really took it to Williams for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-54 win on the road. Biggs is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
It was another big night for Emilio Vera, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. He hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Skyler Long was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Williams still got an impressive performance from Johnathan Guti?rrez, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Miguel Murillo, who scored nine points.
Biggs is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Williams, they dropped their record down to 8-17 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Biggs will take on Plumas Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plumas Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Biggs likes a good challenge. Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
