Even though the Alpha Omega Academy Lions have not done well against the Providence Classical Paladins recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Alpha Omega Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Providence Classical 54-16 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-6.
Maddie Wallace was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Alpha Omega Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Kathryn Peach, who scored 7 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Alpha Omega Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Providence Classical, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Alpha Omega Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Legacy Prep Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Providence Classical, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Allen Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
