Baseball Recap: Olivet Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Olivet barely beat Western the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Panthers on Saturday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Olivet, bringing their record up to 13-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Western, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olivet will head out to challenge Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Western, they will venture away from home to take on Hastings at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Saxons at the right time seeing as the Saxons are stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
