The South Central Satellites's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 57-36 walloping at the hands of Morgan Township. South Central has not had much luck with Morgan Township recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Jay Huerta and Brayden Lautenbach certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Huerta scored 13 points, while Lautenbach scored four points along with nine rebounds.
It was another big night for Keagen Holder, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds for Morgan Township. Holder hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Wheeler, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
South Central has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Morgan Township, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.
South Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tri-Township at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Morgan Township, they will square off against Westville at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Westville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Morgan Township is ranked 150th).
