Even though the Park Tudor Panthers scored an imposing 58 points on Wednesday, the North Central Panthers still came out on top. North Central had just enough and edged Park Tudor out 61-58. The win made it back-to-back wins for North Central.
North Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxson Bell led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five rebounds. Bell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Papi Rivera, who scored 15 points.
North Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Park Tudor, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
North Central and Lawrence North will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lawrence North will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Park Tudor, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Bethesda Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
