The Buffalo Grove Bison will venture away from home to face off against the Libertyville Wildcats at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Buffalo Grove turned things around against Deerfield on Thursday. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 4-0 win.

The result came thanks to Griffin Kelly's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Buffalo Grove's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Owen Erickson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Erickson brought in this season.
Meanwhile, Libertyville strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Grayslake North 9-0. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Josh Holst was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Holst was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
In other pitching news, Charlie Gretz looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Quinn Schambow, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Cole Lockwood was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Libertyville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Buffalo Grove, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6-1.
Buffalo Grove suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Libertyville when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
