Baseball Recap: Apollo Gets the Win

While Apollo's victory against Forest Park wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Rangers 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since May 3, 2024.

Ross Milburn was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Jackson Carder was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Apollo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Forest Park, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apollo will host University Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Forest Park, they will be playing at home against Mt. Vernon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
