Bishop Manogue ended up on the wrong side of a tough 67-44 walloping at the hands of the Cougars on Tuesday. Bishop Manogue found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 9 to 1 on offense.
Bishop Manogue's loss came despite strong showings from Kaden Rowe and James Williams. Rowe went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 2 assists, while Williams scored 18 points along with two blocks. Williams hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games.
Bishop Manogue struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Travis Lee, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 1 assist for Spanish Springs. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee has scored all season. Josiah McBride was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Bishop Manogue's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Spanish Springs, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Manogue will take on the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Spanish Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Douglas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
