There's no place like home for Herscher, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They walked away with  a   35-28  victory over the Peotone Blue Devils  on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their seven-point performance the  contest before.

 Alek Draper was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 151 yards and two  TDs on only 13 carries. That's the most  rushing touchdowns  he has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tanner Jones, who rushed for 14 yards and one  touchdown.
 Herscher didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Draper.  Mavric Strahan was another major factor on D,  making 14 total tackles.
Herscher has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record  this season. As for Peotone,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-6.
 Coming up, Herscher will take on Bishop McNamara at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Fightin' Irish's defense has only allowed 13.8  points per game  this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. Peotone does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
