Basketball Recap: Boswell Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

A well-balanced attack led Boswell over Lake Ridge in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Boswell Pioneers blew the Lake Ridge Eagles out of the water with a 70-26 final score. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 25 points or more this season.

Boswell had a senior duo take command as Haleigh Jackson went 7 of 10 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals and Camille Williams dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. What's more, Williams also racked up eight assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sydney Durrah, who posted 13 points.

Boswell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive matches.

Boswell pushed their record up to 29-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Lake Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-12.

Coincidentally, Boswell and Lake Ridge will both be playing Mansfield the next time they take the court. Boswell will head out to face Mansfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lake Ridge will host them at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
