Volleyball Recap: Sheridan Wins Going Away Against Elwood

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sheridan walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Elwood Panthers on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Lainey Mendenhall paced Sheridan's offense, picking up 19 kills. Mendenhall got some help from Adria Jump and her 28 assists. Jump was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Sheridan's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Elwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season.

Sheridan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Frankton on the 18th. Elwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
