In what's become a running theme this season, the Joppatowne Mariners gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They really took it to Bel Air for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-51 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Joppatowne sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Joppatowne found their leader in underclassman Kishann Smith, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Smith hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Phil Clark, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Joppatowne's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Bel Air, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Joppatowne will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North East at 5:30 p.m. Bel Air will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against North Harford at 6:45 p.m. on January 23rd.
