In what's become a running theme this season, Carrollton gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. Everything went their way against Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran as Carrollton made off with a 58-32 win. Given Carrollton's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the are ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lauren Flowers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Flowers, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Calhoun/Brussels waltzed into their matchup back in January with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia 49-31.
Carrollton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Calhoun/Brussels, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
