Mount Union is a perfect 3-0 against Curwensville since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Golden Tide at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Mount Union and four for Curwensville.

Mount Union came up short against West Branch on Thursday, falling 13-3.

Isabella Yocum was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Sydnee Harris also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Curwensville fell victim to Claysburg-Kimmel and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 14-0 to the Bulldogs.

Curwensville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Butler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Mount Union's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Curwensville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went Mount Union's way against Curwensville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Mount Union made off with an 11-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
