The Hemingway Tigers fell victim to the Cross Trojans''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Trojans, falling 52-0. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hemingway in their matchups with Cross: they've now lost three in a row.
Cross' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Mungin, who threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Jamez Way was in the mix too, providing Cross with two touchdowns.
Hemingway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Cross, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Hemingway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cross will square off against Allendale-Fairfax at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
