The South Hagerstown Rebels lost against the Urbana Hawks back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. South Hagerstown took a 66-48 bruising from Urbana. South Hagerstown has not had much luck with Urbana recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Mason Johnson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds for Urbana. Johnson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Christian Whitehead was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds.
South Hagerstown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Urbana, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
South Hagerstown will square off against Oakdale at TBD on Friday. Oakdale is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Urbana's road trip will continue as they head out to face Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
