River Islands came tearing into  Thursday's  contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Stagg Delta Kings by a score of  3-1.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-15,  25-15.
 David Chua paced River Islands' offense, picking up 16 kills. Chua got some help from  Urijah DeOcampo and his 23 assists.  Nikhil Raj controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
 Stagg lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Evan Sun, who  had 11  kills and eight  digs. He has been hot recently, having  posted six or more  kills the last three times he's  played.  Angelo Lagrimas was another key player,  getting 16  assists and seven  digs.
River Islands' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Stagg, their defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Looking ahead, River Islands will square off against Kimball at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Stagg, they will face off against Weston Ranch at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Stagg is facing Weston Ranch at the right time seeing as Weston Ranch is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
