Lawson had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hendersonville Commandos, sneaking past 4-2.
Lawson got a great performance from Josh Shamanur as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts Shamanur has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, Sawyer Moore was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliot Swihart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Lawson's record now sits at 21-13. As for Hendersonville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-15.
Coming up, Lawson will be playing in front of their home fans against Beech at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hendersonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
