Junior Eli Macke, who rushed for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Clearwater/Orchard's success. On the defensive end, senior Clay Thiele was a one-man blockade for them with 3.5 sacks and ten tackles. The victory bumped Clearwater/Orchard's record up to 4-1. The loss dropped Stuart's record to 2-3.
Clearwater/Orchard will look to defend their home turf next week against Twin Loup at 7:00 PM. Clearwater/Orchard are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Twin Loup are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses. As for Stuart, they will face off against Chambers/Wheeler Central/Ewing. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
