The Montesano Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Eatonville Cruisers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Montesano will be strutting in after a victory while Eatonville will be coming in after a loss.
Last Saturday, Montesano's game was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Aberdeen with points to spare, taking the game 52-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Montesano.
Meanwhile, Eatonville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hoquiam, falling 79-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Eatonville has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Amari Samuel, who scored 12 points along with two steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Hunter Klumpar, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Montesano's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Eatonville, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-9.
Montesano strolled past Eatonville in their previous matchup on January 4th by a score of 61-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Montesano since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
