Basketball Recap: Connelly School of the Holy Child Takes a Loss

Connelly School of the Holy Child was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 82-51 loss at the hands of the Potomac School Panthers. While losing is never fun, Connelly School of the Holy Child can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 123rd in Maryland, while Potomac School is ranked 12th in Virginia).

Sabrina Anderson was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 8 from beyond the arc on her way to 31 points and five assists for Potomac School. The match was Anderson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Catherine Letendre, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Connelly School of the Holy Child's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Potomac School, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-8.

Connelly School of the Holy Child has already played their next contest, a 74-31 defeat against Bullis on the 5th. As for Potomac School, they will take on Georgetown Visitation Prep at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Georgetown Visitation Prep has won three straight at home, while Potomac School won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
