Football Recap: Canyon View Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Canyon View hadn't done well against Millennium recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Jaguars came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 44-37. The win was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brady Scott was his usual excellent self, throwing for 345 yards and five TDs, while also rushing for 58 yards on only six carries. Those 58 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Dj Sims Jr. also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Canyon View's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out Rayden Reibel three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jackson McCarthy, David (Tiki) Teeples, and Andres Fierros, who each picked up one sack apiece. Rece Landis was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reibel, who threw for 279 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 73 yards and one score on only nine carries. Kadin Johnson was Reibel's top target, picking up 113 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Canyon View's record now sits at 7-2. As for Millennium, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.
