Basketball Recap: Eno River Academy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Eno River Academy won the last time they faced Excelsior Classical Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eno River Academy Bobcats enjoyed a cozy 57-40 win over the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Cole Creedle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. Another player making a difference was Sammer Day, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Eno River Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Excelsior Classical Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyler Hill, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Goss, who had six points in addition to 14 rebounds and eight steals.

Eno River Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eno River Academy will challenge Oxford Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they will square off against Vance Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
