Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aaron Myrick, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 61 yards on only six carries. Hayden Fowler also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Amarion Fairley and Ayden Green. Fairley rushed for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries while Green gained 109 total yards and two touchdowns. Those 118 rushing yards gave Fairley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zander Howard, who rushed for 59 yards.
East Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Stone, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.
