The Laurel Highlands Mustangs will take on the West Mifflin Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Laurel Highlands' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so West Mifflin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
West Mifflin will be up against a hot Laurel Highlands team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Mustangs' pitcher stepped up to hand Uniontown an 11-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Mustangs have won five games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Payton Senge made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emme Cavaliere, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Liv McClelland was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Laurel Highlands always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for West Mifflin's offense. They came up short against Elizabeth Forward on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Laurel Highlands' victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for West Mifflin, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
