Everything went their way against Mesa Grande Academy as Redlands Adventist Academy made off with a 66-42 win. For Redlands Adventist Academy, this counts as revenge for the 64-54 loss Mesa Grande Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Redlands Adventist Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Leichty led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Micah Brooks was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Redlands Adventist Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Mesa Grande Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Redlands Adventist Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Packinghouse Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Mesa Grande Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against River Springs Charter School Magnolia at 6:30 p.m.
