The Lauderdale County Tigers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Colbert Heights at home to the tune of 41-7. Considering Lauderdale County has won six matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Micah Christensen went supernova for Lauderdale County, rushing for 181 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Christensen was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. Braxton Rose was another key contributor, rushing for 101 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Lauderdale County's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. As for Colbert Heights, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lauderdale County will face off against Brooks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colbert Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Decatur Heritage Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
