Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Daphne). They blew past the Davidson Warriors 50-20 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.

Daphne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Segar led the charge by throwing for 340 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Segar has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. CJ Gardner was in the mix as well, providing Daphne with two touchdowns.

Daphne was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Davidson only rushed for 88.

Daphne's defense stepped up as well, laying out Micah Spivey eight times. Davidson's QB won't forget Dominic Truong Pham anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Truong Pham also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Jaysean Willis was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Davidson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kingston Butler, who picked up 138 receiving yards and one score. Spivey was another key player, throwing for 182 yards and one TD.

Daphne's record is now 6-1. As for Davidson, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Daphne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-0 victory against Bryant on the 10th. As for Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-14 win against Robertsdale on the 10th.
