After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lingle-Fort Laramie, the Crawford Rams were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-37 win over Sioux County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Crawford also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crawford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Rudloff, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Rudloff hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Homan, who scored 18 points.
Sioux County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cy Hughson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Jack Hunter, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Crawford is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Sioux County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which lines up perfectly with their 5-15 record this season.
Crawford will face off against Hay Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hay Springs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 259 points over their last four games. As for Sioux County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Guernsey-Sunrise. Guernsey-Sunrise presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sioux County in their respective states (Guernsey-Sunrise is ranked 54th in Wyoming, while Sioux County is ranked 272nd in Nebraska).
