Baseball Recap: Harrah Comes Up Short

The Harrah Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the MacArthur Highlanders on Saturday and fell 10-9.

Joey Mclaughlin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Harrah: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cooper Kennedy, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Harrah's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for MacArthur, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.

Harrah and MacArthur could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Panthers will take on Ada at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (99 vs. 9). Meanwhile, MacArthur (ranked 92nd) will meet Elgin (ranked 23rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
