Father Judge is 7-1 against Archbishop Ryan since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Raiders and Ragdolls at 4:00 p.m. Father Judge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
While Father Judge's victory against Devon Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders skirted past the Tide 8-7.
Kaiden Laverty looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Kevin Krause and Nick Wolf did most of the damage at the plate: Krause went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Wolf went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Wolf has posted since back in March. Ryan King also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Archbishop Ryan let Archbishop Wood stack four runs on them in the first inning on Tuesday but luckily Archbishop Ryan prevailed anyway. The Raiders and Ragdolls walked away with a 7-4 win over the Vikings.
Dave Perez was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Flash Krzywicki, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Archbishop Ryan is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Father Judge, their record now sits at 8-4.
Father Judge beat Archbishop Ryan 9-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Raiders and Ragdolls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
