The Holly Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Rocky Ford 75-42 at home. Holly has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Andre Salgado continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Eaton, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Holly, bringing their record for this year to 13-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Rocky Ford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.
Holly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-32 defeat vs. Cheyenne Wells on the 10th. Rocky Ford will head out on the road to square off against Lamar at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Rocky Ford is coming into the match with four straight losses on the road, meaning Lamar will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
