The Franklin Sabers will be home for the holidays to greet the Grafton Black Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Franklin slipped by Oak Creek 40-39.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aniya Boyland, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachael Jepsen, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Grafton pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Hartford an easy 85-61 win. While losing is never fun, Grafton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Hartford is ranked 23rd).
Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Grafton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Franklin came up short against Grafton in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 69-57. Will Franklin have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
