The Oak Hills Highlanders lost to the Middletown Middies back in January of 2023, but the Oak Hills Highlanders didn't allow the Middletown Middies the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Oak Hills managed a 31-25 win over Middletown. Given Oak Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Middletown is ranked 396th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Oak Hills found their leader in underclassman Ava Kammerer, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kammerer has scored at least a third of Oak Hills' points.

Oak Hills is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Middletown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lakota East the next time they take the court. Middletown will host Lakota East at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Oak Hills will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
