Plano West took a serious blow against Plano East on Friday, falling 56-13. Plano West was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.
Drew Devillier was a one-man wrecking crew for Plano East as he threw for 271 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes. Ezra O'neal iii did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 118 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Plano West are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.0 points per game. As for Plano East, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3.
Plano West will take on Hebron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hebron presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Plano West in Texas (Hebron is ranked 173rd, while Plano West is ranked 500th). As for Plano East, they will head out on the road to face off against Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lewisville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
