Lampasas is 0-10 against Salado since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lampasas Badgers are on the road again and plays the Salado Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th.
Lampasas' last game on Tuesday was all defense as neither team scored a goal. Neither they nor Gatesville could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Lampasas has been dealt a draw since back in January.
Meanwhile, Salado scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They never let Little River Academy onto the board and left with a 16-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Salado sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Their offense was hitting Little River Academy from everywhere, as nine different players booted in a goal.
Lampasas' draw makes their record 5-5-4 on the season. As for Salado, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Lampasas suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Salado in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Lampasas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
