The Liberty Hill Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 81-31 victory over Bastrop. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Liberty Hill was led to victory by Ben Carter and Noah Long. Carter rushed for 263 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Long gained 290 total yards and five touchdowns. Carter really tore up the turf during one magnificent 99-yard run. Another player making a difference was Dj Seaborn, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown.
Liberty Hill's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bastrop, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Liberty Hill will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pieper at 7:00 p.m. Pieper knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Liberty Hill likes a good challenge. Bastrop does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
