The Bell Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 60-25 loss at the hands of Interlachen. Bell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-13.
Interlachen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Raszir Phelps led the charge by scoring 14 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Dante Astin, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Bell's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Interlachen, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bell on the road again on Monday and play against Branford at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Branford is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Interlachen, Interlachen and Bronson will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
